The exhibition "Alla ricerca del grande squalo bianco" ("In search for the great white shark") is organised by Vittorio Gabriotti and Alessandro De Maddalena, in collaboration with the Italian Ichthyological Society and the Italian Great White Shark Data Bank. The exhibition opens at the Sala Civica dei Disciplini, Brescia, Italy, on October 21, 2004 and runs through October 24. The exhibition features 40 photographs by Vittorio Gabriotti, 25 illustrations by Alessandro De Maddalena, biological information, shark specimens from the Italian Ichthyological Society and the jaws of a 5-meter great white shark from the ancient Settala Museum (XVII century).

Le nouveau numero de la revue scientifique Annales (Annals for Istrian and Mediterranean Studies), Series Historia Naturalis, 13(2), a été publié. Il inclues une section spéciale "Mediterranean Sharks", avec des travaux sur Hexanchus griseus, Echinorhinus brucus, Carcharodon carcharias et des autres espèces.
