- 750 foot by 10 foot gill net, 4 inch strech mesh
anchored and soaked for 3 hours, sharks removed every 15 to 30 minutes. Gillnetting
in estuarine areas for shark pups of various species in SC and east US coast. |

drum (Sciaenops ocellatus), but sharks are tagged for the National Marine
Fisheries Service/ COASTSPAN.

are 6000 feet long, with a hook every 50 feet for 120 hooks per set total, the gear soaked
for 1 hour then retrieved Charleston, SC, from 4 to 12 or so miles
offshore (30 to 60 feet) |
